Ready, Aim, Fire!!!

We spent an afternoon with the kids and cousin Eric shooting clay pigeons and a few gophers! The kids had a great time, especially Morgan. Going out shooting is one of his favorite things. McKenzie eventually ended up playing in the mud..:) and Paris took her turns shooting but was content watching everyone else! All in all it was a nerve racking day for Mom...but a fun day for everyone!

Mud magnet!
View over the ridge where we were shooting the clay pigeons. This is part of the Oyler Ranch just a few minutes walk from our house. It felt so good to finally spend an afternoon outside...winter has seemed so long this year!
Ride down to the field

A couple videos of the kids taking shots. McKenzie is using a big shotgun w/a big kick (I had a bruise on my shoulder the next day) and Morgan and Paris are using their little Chipmunk 22.

We finally left the Museum!!!!!!

We made it out alive!!!! Okay, we're back.....sorry it's been so long, will try not to let that happen again! The comments were a great laugh though!!!

going back a few months.....to September, wanted to share these
Mom and Buddy came to visit the end of September. We had a great time with them, the days went too fast!

Morgan had his eye out for snakes on our walk with Grandma & Grandpa, this was the third one we saw. Each of the kids thought it was sooo cool to carry it around (just a garder snake:) Paris thought she was pretty tough holding the snake, but after about 30 minutes the snake decided it wanted to be free and it bit Paris on the thumb! Travis had to pry it off her!:( It didn't hurt as bad as it scared her. She was excited to go to school on Monday and tell the experience to her teacher and friends!!!!!!

December

* Skip ahead a few months!* Tammy and Bryce and their kiddos Taylor, Chase, Briley and Avery came to see us over x-mas break! This is Christmas dinner at our place. Grandma Bette and uncle Walter joined us for dinner. We had a great day eating, relaxing and catching up! The kids had a blast together. They never slowed down!

Our little Princesses!! Paris, Avery and Briley playing dress-up. The girls lived in the dresses the whole time they were inside together. It was so cute to watch!

The boys.......bein' tough, bein' goofy, and havin' fun doin' it!!!

We went over to Lance and Daniel's house for a game/skating night while Tammy and Bryce were here. They just finished building their house and they put an ice rink in their backyard! It was all lit up at night and the kids were ready to go! The younger ones stayed inside where it was warm and colored and played games.
More to come soon........hee, hee, hee :)

Summer Montana Pictures

This picture was taken in June shortly after we moved to Montana, out in front of our house. I love the view of the Bridger Mts. in the background! We missed seeing them the last couple of weeks....the smoke was so thick.

McKenzie, Morgan & Paris walking down the lane that goes by our house, and on up to Grandma & Grandpa's house. Off to the right, just before the buildings is the creek...a favorite place to skip rocks! Just beyond the creek, across a field is the Gallatin River and a great swimming hole! We spent almost every day there this summer!

The new Montana Wildlife Rescue Group. The kids kept finding baby birds pushed out of the nest too soon. This was definitely a summer highlight for them, catching real wild birds. They think it's a Montana thing! :) They all flew off within a day...with the exception of the one Pete met...Grandma's cat

This is our new Boxer puppy Lucy. She is so sweet and smart and the kids love playing with her. I took this picture about a month ago and I think she has doubled in size since then. Thank goodness the kids don't grow quite that fast!

McKenzie and Teddy after running through the sprinklers

An afternoon in the sprinklers...Montana style!
